"I appreciate the way you always kept track of the cost. I also really appreciate you finding ways to lower cost while maintaining the quality of the rebuild, like rebuilding large cylinders instead of new as quoted. Your transfer of the supervision on the floor to Mike came at just the right time and he was a perfect choice. In my opinion, the rebuild would have been much more difficult to get done quickly without his direction.
Thanks for your adjustment to the schedule change request for the plant. It was good working with you guys again on a longer job. I noticed several of the guys wiping their eyes due to the fact that part of the shop was leaving after almost 2 years.

Thanks for your help and a great job on the #4 cutter installation. Capability studies since the installation show a remarkable improvement in the cut width variance. Ca and Cp are both A-rank (highest rating) and Cp is ZD (zero defects), so basically it cuts perfectly!

"BB623 incline drive failed Saturday night at approximately 1:00 PM. I learned of its failure at 8:00 AM Sunday morning. Due to the absence of spare parts in stores, the installation of the new incline drive (without inverter) was required. The fabrication of transition base, assembly of components and installation took approximately 8 hours.
Thank God for Cumberland Machine. Without their help, this work would not have been possible.

Raymond,
I would like to let you know how much I appreciate ALL the CMC workers who stayed late and came in on the night shift to repair the 4RC compensator frame this past Wednesday. This was no exception, it’s just that I feel that we don't let you know enough how hard the guys work. It’s too easy to focus on peoples’ mistakes and not congratulate them on good work. It’s a shame that contractors are not appreciated more around here because you are the first guys everyone looks to in a crisis.
Everyone worked hard and worked together well. I would like to especially call attention to Tom Smith, Robin Johnson and Tom Gabrielli. I feel confident that if I had four more of these kind of people, I could take over the world.
Most engineers here know that CMC is, without a doubt, the best machine shop in the business, and it’s because of your workers. Keep up the good work and thanks.
